Homicide Investigation

Los Angeles – On Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at approximately 8:25 P.M., the victim was visiting with a friend at 2400 block of South 11Th Avenue. The suspect entered the residence and at some point confronted the victim in the living room. The suspect, for no apparent reason, shot the victim once in the upper torso. The suspect fled to his vehicle and left the scene. The victim was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wound.
The victim was identified as Adolphus Miller, 53 years of age, a resident of Los Angeles.
The residents of the house know the suspect. He is described as an African-American male, 22 years of age and was last seen driving a gray colored van.
The motive for this murder is still under investigation.
