"Homicide Investigation in Central Division"

Los Angeles – On November 13, 2000, at approximately 6:20 P.M., Central Area patrol officers responded to an apartment complex located at 622 S. Wall Street for a possible homicide investigation. Upon arrival the officers were met by the apartment manager and security guards that directed the officers to a room at the location where the tenant had not been seen for approximately 24 hours. The responding officers door knocked the location but did not receive a response. The officers, fearing for the safety of the tenant, looked into the apartment window and observed what appeared to be a woman lying on the floor. The officers along with the apartment complex manager and security guards forced entry and discovered the body of a female, White, believed to be in her mid 30’s. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead.

The identity of the victim has been established but it is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

The motive for this crime is unknown and the suspect(s) remain outstanding.
