Los Angeles: On May 13, 2023, around 9:17 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Newton Area Patrol Officers responded to a call for service in the 400 block of East 46th Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, later identified as 26-year-old Los Angeles resident Lesly Morales, who was being medically evaluated by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Morales was subsequently declared deceased at the scene. The circumstances of Morales’death were determined to be suspicious in nature.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office ascribed Morales’ manner of death, as a homicide. Central Bureau Homicide detectives were notified about Morales’ death and assumed investigative responsibility.
