Hotel Robbery Caught on Tape

Los Angeles: On June 30, 2000, at approximately 11:30 PM, three men entered the lobby of the Confort Inn Hotel, located at 321 North Vermont Avenue. One of the men, armed with a handgun, entered the cashier’s office and ordered the clerk to the floor. The other two suspects then entered the office and proceeded to take the money from the cash register as well as other property from the cashier.

After committing the robbery the suspects fled the location in a white, 4-door mid size passenger car, driven by a fourth suspect.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1 – Male, Black, black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 155 pounds, 19 to 22 years old. He was armed with a chromed revolver.

Suspect 2 – Male, Black, black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, 20 to 25 years old. He had a half-inch scar under the left eye.

Suspect 3 – Male, Black, black hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 160 pounds.

Suspect 4 – Male, Black, NFD.

A security camera caught the robbery on video-tape. A copy of the tape is available to the media at Media Relations Section.

Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in the video. If any one has information on the identity of these suspects, please contact Rampart Robbery Detectives Casper or Rivera at 213-207-2090.
