Husband and Wife Found Dead Inside Their Home NR09525kr

November 3, 2009

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives are investigating the deaths of a married couple, Craig and Donna Edwards, found dead inside their residence yesterday morning.  The deaths are being investigated as a murder suicide.

On November 2, 2009, at around 10 a.m., LAPD Topanga Area patrol officers were called to the 7900 block of McLaren Avenue for a death investigation after coworkers discovered the bodies of 66-year-old Donna Edwards and her husband, 62-year-old Craig Edwards.  The coworkers had become concerned after Donna failed to show up for work and calls to her went unanswered.  They went to the home and began checking with neighbors, one of which had a key to the Edwards’ home.

Upon entering the home, they found Donna shot to death in the master bedroom and Craig dead on the kitchen floor.  His cause of death will have to be determined by the Los Angeles County coroner as there were no obvious signs of death.  Several weapons were recovered from the house, and detectives are still investigating the motive for this incident.
