Why:
On November 8, 2011, CBS Outdoor donated an advertising billboard located on Topanga Canyon Blvd south of Devonshire St.  The billboard signifies the partnership between several local companies and the LAPD. With help from these companies, the ‘Lock It, Hide It, Keep It’ safety program can be seen throughout the valley.

This partnership has been very successful within LAPD’s Valley Bureau, and has contributed to the reduction of Burglary from Motor Vehicles (BFMV) by 13% in 2010 and 13 % as of November 26, 2011.

The message is twofold.  To prevent yourself from becoming a victim of a property crime, take a little extra effort and a few extra minutes to, “Lock It Hide It Keep It.”  And, The LAPD would like to thank and acknowledge the community members for their support of the “Lock It, Hide It, Keep It” safety program.
