Why:
Officer Michael Scott attended Fenton Elementary School from 1973 to 1980. 41 years later he returns with his fellow LAPD CSP Foothill Officers to address drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying! These subjects Officer Scott was very familiar with even 40 plus years ago at school and in the Lake View Terrace community he grew up in. This “Just Say No” school rally will be the 52nd rally that Officer Scott and is team of Officers have put on in elementary schools across the city, reaching and impacting over 30,000 kids to date!

Due to the recent rise in school bullying incidents, and the continuous drug, gang, and crime problems in schools. Covid-19 has kept students away from engaging and talking about the issues that have affected them during the pandemic. Discussion and demonstrations by law enforcement officers with students about the importance of saying no to drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying.

School Rally Includes:

*Real testimonials from law enforcement officers and special guests regarding the negative incidents of drugs, gangs, crime, and especially bullying.

*Reciting of the “Just Say No!” Drugs-Gangs-Crime-Bullying Pledge w/ students.

*Hula hoop, dance, and contests for boys, girls, and teachers for big prizes.

*Public safety/Anti- drugs, gangs, crime, bullying displays, and visit from local law enforcement officers.
