Why:
This yearly event is put on by the Los Angles Police Department’s K-9 Platoon.  Our canines are purchased through a non-profit organization (K-9 Booster Fund).  This organization relies solely on donations for the purchase of all Department canines.  This is our way of thanking the organization and its friends for their dedication to the organization.

The K-9 Platoon will host the event with all of our working K-9 teams (and their canine partners) attending the event.  On display will be individual K-9 teams as well as a myriad of demonstrations.  They will include a demonstration of obedience, protection & control, detection work with our weapons canines, and our tracking & trailing canines.

The event is the Department’s way to introduce the platoon to all the those that are involved in the K-9 Booster Fund organization.  There will be hot dogs and hamburgers served at the event.

For further information call Sergeant Doug Roller, K-9 Unit, at 213-972-2420 or Media Relations Section at 213-485-3586.
