Kidnap Suspect Arrested with Citizen’s Help NR18175ti

Winnetka: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Area Detectives announce the arrest of 24-year-old Jacob Marshall for Kidnap.

On June 27, 2018, around 7:30 a.m., 17-year-old female victim exited a bus on Ventura Boulevard and Winnetka Avenue on her way to school.

As the victim passed Oxnard Avenue on the southeast sidewalk she was grabbed from behind by a male she recognized from the bus. A struggle ensued between the victim and suspect.

A female citizen driving to work observed the struggle between the victim and the suspect. The citizen stopped her vehicle and called out to the suspect, who released the victim and began running northbound on Winnetka Avenue.

The citizen and the victim followed the suspect in the citizen’s vehicle while the citizen called the police. The victim was not injured and the police responded and took the suspect into custody.
