Kidnap/Sexual Assault Suspect Sought

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is seeking information regarding an individual who is responsible for committing a sexual assault.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a 16-year-old girl was walking in an alley East of the 900 block of Western Avenue, San Pedro, when she was approached by a suspect driving a car. He opened the door, pointed a handgun and demanded money. When the girl said she didn’t have any money, the suspect ordered her into his car.

The suspect drove her to the 800 block of South Catalina Avenue in Redondo Beach, where he parked the vehicle in an unattended, unlocked garage. He bound and sexually assaulted the girl.

During the abduction, the suspect forced the victim to wear a blindfold while he wore a pair of sheer panty hose over his head. The suspect was described as a male Black in his 30s. He was about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.

The suspect’s car was possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix. It was a newer model (2006-2008), black four-door sedan with tinted windows and dark interior.
