WHY:
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 31 police officers, with 24 males and 7 females. The ethnic breakdown of the graduates is as follows: 14 Caucasians, 13 Hispanics, one Asian (non-Korean), and three African Americans.  Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
