"LAPD and CHP Join Forces to Crack Down DUI in the Valley"

Sunland-Tujunga: On Thursday, December 28, 2000, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division and the California Highway Patrol will join forces in the Sunland-Tujunga area of the San Fernando Valley and conduct an anti-drunk-driving task force.

The task force will start at 6:00 p.m. at Foothill Community Police Station, located at 12760 Osborne Street in Pacoima. The roll call will take place upstairs at the police station. There will be photo opportunities during the roll call as well as when the joint-agency motor officers roll out from the station parking lot and hit the streets for the night.

"We anticipate arresting numerous people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs," said Captain Greg Meyer, Commanding Officer of Valley Traffic Division. "DUI continues to be a very serious problem in our society. We are proud to work side by side with our partners from the California Highway Patrol in an effort to save lives during this holiday season."
