WHY:
Los Angeles Police Department, Central Division and Detective Bureau is proud to host an anti-Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) hate crime community event. This event brings together LAPD detectives and division officers, non-profits, and service providers in a unified effort to combat hate crimes targeting the AAPI community. Through education and collaboration, we aim to better inform the Little Tokyo community on our efforts to reduce hate crimes and better understand the challenges that the community faces to inform our strategies to prevent and respond to hate crimes.
