Los Angeles: On Monday, September 24, 2001 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., The Los Angeles Police Department will conduct a Single-Purpose Focus, Accountability, Strategy, Teamwork, Response, and Coordination (FASTRAC) inspection. The focus of this inspection will be on graffiti.
FASTRAC is the Los Angeles Police Department’s command accountability process that identifies issues throughout the organization and develops strategies and goals to address those issues. Commanding officers are brought together to share information, in an effort to target specific identified problems.
Graffiti is costly and it affects the quality of life for residents and business owners in all of the City’s communities. The purpose of this inspection will be to take an in-depth look at the magnitude of the graffiti problem within the City and develop strategies to eradicate this costly community blight. In addition to key Los Angeles Police Department members, the following public entities have been invited to participate:
