WHAT: The LAPD Cub Reporters will be assigned to cover the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Area’s Open House and provide local media with comprehensive coverage.

WHEN: Saturday, September 19, 2015 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Hollenbeck Community Police Station 2111 East 1st Street Los Angeles, California 90033

WHY: On a yearly basis, the area divisions of the Los Angeles Police Department offer the public the special opportunity to visit each area station and meet the officers and Department personnel who serve their community. The Hollenbeck Area will be hosting many activities including food, music, child identification cards and tours of the police facility.

The LAPD Cub Reporters consist of Department Cadets who are assigned as reporters within the LAPD Media relations Unit. The media will be able to interview and utilize the Cub Reporters who will be able to offer a unique and youthful perspective on the relationship between the police and the neighborhoods they serve.
