Why:
To provide an update to the public on the current status of the investigation. The murder occurred on September 17, 2013, at 7421 South Broadway. The victim was working as a store clerk at the Happy Bargain 99 Cent Store. The Suspect entered the store with the apparent intent to commit a robbery.  During the course of the robbery the suspect shot Victim Sanchez, multiple times in the torso.  The suspect then fled the store, on foot and was last seen running southbound on Broadway.

Detectives will give an overview of the events leading to the homicide.  Detectives will also be available to address any specific questions.
