The Los Angeles Police Department and the Family of 26-year-old Roshon Dwayne Davis are seeking the assistance of the media to help solve the murder of Mr. Davis.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, around 2:50 p.m., Mr. Davis was heard yelling for help in the alley behind the apartment complex in the 3000 block of Gibraltar Avenue.  The victim’s wife heard the calls for help, as did an on-duty LAPD Sergeant on patrol.
The sergeant went to aid the victim and discovered that he was suffering from a stab wound.  The victim was able to tell the Sergeant that he had been attacked at the nearby gas station at the intersection of Coliseum Street and La Brea Avenue.

Mr. Davis was transported to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives have been unable to identify any witnesses to this brutal assault and they are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

Surveillance video of the victim prior to the assault will be available for the media.
