Event Stresses Appreciation for their Efforts During Chatsworth Train Accident

What:      An appreciation lunch/dinner for the firefighters of the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Fire Station 96, presented by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) employees of the LAPD Valley Dispatch Center

Why:         To enable a group of LAPD emergency dispatchers who were working when the Chatsworth Metrolink train accident occurred in September 2008 to show their appreciation for the rescue efforts of firefighters during this tragic event. On their own time and at their own expense, the dispatchers will prepare the food and deliver it to the fire station.
