WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Area partners with the Chuck E. Cheese Anti-Bullying Campaign and Speak Out Against Bullying Inc. for Unity Day.

WHO: Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, Council District 13 LAPD First Assistant Chief Michel Moore, Office of Operations LAPD Commander Blake Chow, Operations West Bureau LAPD Captain Cory Palka, Commanding Officer, Hollywood Area Los Angeles City Fire Department Personnel Chuck E. Cheese Character Monica Harmon, Speak Out Against Bullying, Inc. Dr. David Riddick, Director, Santa Monica Charter School 1,000 Elementary School Students, Parents and Special Guests

WHY: Unity Day is when everyone comes together to send one large ORANGE message of support, hope and unity. It is a day to show that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

VISUAL: Chuck E. Cheese character will be escorted onto the school yard by LAPD motorcycle officers with lights and sirens. Students will stand and take the anti-bullying pledge. Artwork will be highlighted: Unity Crowns, Friendship connect links, Unity Parade Posters and Parents Unity Mural
