Los Angeles: On Wednesday, January 26, 2005, about 6:00 AM, emergency personnel from various local, county and state agencies responded to the Metrolink Train derailment incident, which occurred on the border of the City of Los Angeles and Glendale. During the three-day rescue and recovery operation, hundreds of law enforcement and fire fighting personnel were deployed at the multi-agency command post.
It was also during this tragic incident that numerous employees from the various local businesses performed several acts of heroism. Furthermore, several of the local businesses and restaurants voluntarily provided food and beverages at no cost to all of the emergency responders until the command post was demobilized, which occurred three days later.
As a gesture of our humble gratitude, several local and county police/sheriff and fire department personnel have scheduled a BBQ luncheon to personally thank our local heroes and wonderful supporters. Our community heroes have been cordially invited to attend the BBQ luncheon.
The following agencies will participate in the luncheon:

Los Angeles Police Department
Los Angeles City Fire Department
Los Angeles Park Rangers
Glendale Police Department
Glendale Fire Department
Burbank Police Department
Burbank Fire Department
Pasadena Fire Department
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office
Los Angeles County Fire Department
California Highway Patrol
Amtrak Police Department
