DETAILS: Prom season and high school graduations are approaching, and so is that time of years when teen parties far too frequently result in tragedy. For the second time, the California Highway Patrol’s renowned Every 15 Minutes program will be presented in the San Fernando Valley. Students will witness the staged wreckage of DUI crash, see “bloodied” classmates pulled from the tangled mess, watch as paramedics whisk friends to a trauma center and react to the “deaths” of two students. The goal of this shock-value presentation is prevention – getting young people to think before they drink and to truly visualize the consequences of poor choices.
