LAPD Investigates Stabbing Incident During Downtown Demonstration NR25027jl

On February 11, 2025, around 4:45 p.m., LAPD Major Crimes Division arrested and booked a 14-year-old male juvenile in the Rampart area for 602WIC/Attempted Murder.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes Division is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the downtown area.

On February 7, 2025, around 1:34 p.m., officers responded to reports of a possible stabbing that took place during a large demonstration in the area of 200 North Spring Street. Upon arrival, they observed a 17-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic juvenile.

The public is advised to avoid the area as Spring Street will be closed from Temple Street to 1st Street while investigators gather evidence and locate witnesses.
