LAPD Investigators Looking for Suspect Responsible for Shooting NR14479jk

Mar Vista: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for shooting that left a victim in critical condition.

On Thursday, December 19, 2014, around 11:30 a.m., the victim, described as a 19-year-old male Hispanic was outside of an apartment complex located in the 12400 block of Washington Place. An unidentified suspect approached on foot and shot the victim in the head with an unknown firearm.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

While investigators believe the victim to be a documented gang member, the circumstances and motive for this crime are unknown. Investigators are seeking the public’s help in providing any information related to this incident.
