WHAT: An in-depth look at the many parts of a FID investigation

WHEN: Wednesday, March 2, 2016 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WHY: The LAPD is providing a unique opportunity for the media to experience the moments leading up to and immediately following a critical incident, such as an officer-involved-shooting (OIS). There will be a live scenario in our “Sit-Sim Village” where participants will have an opportunity to be a part of these intricate investigations, a discussion of Less Lethal Weapons will also enable participants to obtain a greater understanding of Less Lethal munitions and the policies governing those police tools. Each of the experiences will provide ample time for questions and answers with the LAPD Command Staff who oversee these investigations.

Reporters will be able to be accompanied by a photographer or camera person during this experience.
