WHAT: A One Day Police Academy for media representatives

WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department is providing a unique opportunity for an academy experience with the LAPD’s world renowned training facility in Grenada Hills, California. The same facility where the police officers train!

The full day of training will assign you to a foot beat in a live scenario, a Force Option Simulator experience, and patrol on our Emergency Vehicle Operation Center’s training track. Classroom discussions will include the LAPD Use of Force policy, Department procedures, utilization of LAPD Media Relations and recruit officer training and development. Reporters will be able to include a photographer at their academy experience.
