WHY:
LAPD Operations Valley Bureau seeks to build trust, educate, problem solve, and mobilize the San Fernando Valley Community with a Community Police Academy (Spanish language) program. The program will provide community members with an inside look at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and various facets of law enforcement.

During the Academy, students will be introduced to basic police operations which will include: The History of the LAPD, the Department’s Organization and Structure, Human Trafficking, Vice Operations, Disaster Preparedness, Communications, Homicide Investigations, Pursuit Policy and Use of Force, and the Department’s Shooting Policy.
