LAPD Partners with The Sunshine Kids for an Unforgettable Experience

September 13, 2023

For 17 years, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has partnered with the Sunshine Kids Foundation to organize a special event for children battling cancer. During the event, the LAPD will be inducting the foundation kids as honorary LAPD Officers, with around 45 active and mostly Reserve Police Officers attending the ceremony. The LAPD Airship helicopter will also conduct a flyover to congratulate the kids.

Following the induction ceremony, the Foundation children will have lunch and get a chance to interact with LAPD Officers and see displays from specialized units.
