LAPD Reserves Partner with Councilman Buscaino for Toy Give Away NA15248jh

WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Department Reserves joins with Councilman Joe Buscaino and members of Hope Central Watts church to distribute 3,000 toys to the children of Watts.

WHEN: Saturday, December 19, 2015 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Youth Opportunity Center 1513 E. 103rd Street Los Angeles, CA 90002

WHO: Los Angeles Councilman Joe Buscaino, Council District #15 LAPD Reserve Officers Community volunteers from Hope Central Watts church

WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department Reserve Corps has partnered with City Council Member Joe Buscaino of the 15th Council District and volunteers from Hope Central Watts church to give away toys during the holiday season.

The Los Angeles Police Reserves Corps is comprised of community members who volunteer their time to fulfill many of the roles handled by full-time sworn police officers. Reserve Officers receive the same training as full-time officers and work alongside them in every aspect of Department operations.

The Los Angeles Police Reserve Corps continuously seeks qualified community members who meet the high standards necessary to become a Los Angeles Police Officer. The City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department invite those interested in public service to consider a second career with one of the nation’s finest law enforcement agencies.
