Los Angeles: On June 15, 2001, the City of Los Angeles and the United States Department of Justice officially entered a legally binding agreement known as the Consent Decree. As a part of that contract, the Los Angeles Police Department has agreed to further enhance its community outreach by holding community meetings to inform the public about the Consent Decree.
On January 14, 2004, at 6:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Area Police Station will present a Consent Decree Meeting. All Los Angeles residents and the media are cordially invited to attend.
