Los Angeles: On October 26, 2026, at around 7:40 pm, Rampart Patrol Division uniformed police officers responded to a radio call for a “415-Man with a Gun.” Upon arrival, the officers were met with a crowd of individuals refusing to comply with the officers’ direction to disperse.

One officer attempted to detain the subject, later identified as Latijera Marshall, by applying a firm grip to her left wrist. As the officer held onto her wrist, Marshall attempted to pull away causing the officer to pull her back toward him. Marshall lost her balance, immediately fell to the ground, and began complaining of pain to her left leg.

The officers requested paramedics for Marshall who was subsequently transported to the Los Angeles General Medical Center by personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Marshall sustained a fracture to her left upper leg (femur) and she was admitted to the hospital pending possible surgery.

Force Investigation Division (FID) was notified of Marshall’s hospitalization and is investigating this incident.
