Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks in conjunction with local universities will present "Leadership for the 21st Century"

On February 26, 1998, Chief Parks met with the deans of Pepperdine University, the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Southern California (USC), and the Claremont Graduate University to discuss executive leadership training for the command and staff officers of the Los Angeles Police Department. Together they developed a new and innovative program, which they will introduce on September 17, 1999. This program represents a true partnership between law enforcement and the community, which will be the foundation for the management and leadership of the Los Angeles Police Department for the next 20 years.
