"Los Angeles City Declares – October is Child Safety Month"
 
Los Angeles: Protecting Children is a priority for the Los Angeles Police Department and in support of the Mayor’s Declaration, "October is Child Safety Month", the LAPD will be offering free fingerprinting and photographing of children at selected Area Community Police Stations. Each LAPD Bureau has been given a pre-scheduled Saturday, during the month of October to provide this free service.
Parents who would like to have their children fingerprinted and photographed by the Los Angeles Police Department may drop by one of the designated locations on the scheduled dates listed below:
