Los Angeles Police Commission Provides Email Addresses For Public Input

March 16, 2020

Los Angeles – In compliance with
Mayor Garcetti’s directive for all City Departments to temporarily
suspend in-person public meetings until a technological solution is
identified, the Board of Police Commissioners is currently
evaluating video conferencing options for livestreaming and public
comment at Police Commission meetings. We will resume meetings as
soon as practical, and in accordance with the guidance and
directives of public health officials. The health and safety of the
public and the employees of the LAPD are our top priority, and we
will resume meetings as soon as they can be supported by the
appropriate technological solution and we are confident we can do
so in a safe environment for all.

During this temporary period where there are no public meetings,
the Commission has established the following avenues for members of
the public to submit comments relevant to the commission’s work in
conducting oversight over the LAPD:

Please submit general inquiries, comments, and concerns to:
policecommission@lapd.online

Please submit specific comments regarding the CalGang system
to: calganginput@lapd.online

Police Commission President Eileen M. Decker stated: “During
this challenging time the Commission encourages everyone to comply
with the guidelines from Mayor Garcetti, Governor Newsom, and the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure their safety
and that of their loved ones.”
