Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division (MRD) is available to assist members of the media during the following hours:

· Monday through Friday: 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
· Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Outside of these hours, members of the media may contact the LAPD Department Operations Center at 213-484-6700 for assistance.

Additionally, media are encouraged to follow the LAPD PIO X account (@LAPDPIO) for timely updates on major incidents throughout the City.

The LAPD recognizes the important role of the media in informing the public and remains committed to maintaining open lines of communication, while balancing operational staffing needs across the Department.
