The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Operations-South Bureau, in partnership with the Los Angeles Sheriff Department (LASD), community leaders, survivors, and victim advocacy organizations, will join cities across the nation in
observing the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. This annual observance provides families, friends, and communities a time to honor the lives of loved ones lost to violence and to stand together in support of healing and justice.
The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims serves as a national call to action—acknowledging the pain of families while reinforcing the importance of prevention, outreach, and victim-centered support services.
We encourage the public to join in this important day of remembrance. Together, we can honor victims, uplift survivors, and continue building a safer Los Angeles.
