WHY:
To strengthen recruitment efforts, to increase diversity among ranks, and advance women in policing by the year 2030 (30×30 Initiative), the Los Angeles Police Department’s hosting a Women’s Hiring Expo in the San Fernando Valley. Although advertised to appeal to women, all are welcome to attend.

Interested individuals can take the LAPD entrance exam for police officer. The expo will include static displays highlighting various job opportunities within the LAPD, and representatives from civilian job opportunities will be in attendance to appeal to those considering civilian roles within the City. Department and Council District representatives will be available on site for interviews.
