Major Distributor Arrested for Selling Counterfeit Products On eBay and Offer-Up NR19246ml

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, Intellectual
Property Crimes Unit (IPCU), in collaboration with the Los Angeles
County Sheriff Department’s Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement Team
(CAPE), served a multi-2 location search warrants in the City of La
Habra/Fullerton.

The suspects were major distributors in the City/County of Los
Angeles. Investigators conducted several undercover
buys/surveillances and determined the suspects were sellers on eBay
and other social media platforms.

The suspect had over 30 different user accounts on eBay deceiving
unknowingly consumers of counterfeit name brand facial cosmetics.
None of the counterfeit products recovered had been tested to meet
US safety standards and could pose a risk to anyone using these
products.

Officers arrested Conner Blount 26-year-old from La Habra for
350(a)PC – Felony Trademark Violation. Officers recovered
approximately $100,000.00 in cash and over $250,000.00 in
counterfeit merchandise.

Counterfeit merchandise recovered: Yeti mugs, name brand cosmetics,
and G-Shock watches.
