Man Arrested for Morning Homicide in Van Nuys NR21184wc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives made arrest in morning homicide.

On July 14, 2021, around 8:43 a.m., Van Nuys Area officers responded to a radio call of "Homicide Suspect There Now," at the 7300 block of Matilija Avenue. Upon arrival officers were directed across the street to the 13800 block of Valerio Street where they discovered 53-year-old Ana Guardado suffering from multiple stab wounds inside a residence.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced Guardado deceased at scene.

After further investigation, detectives arrested 49-year-old Jose Sierra for 187(a)(1) P.C., "Murder." Sierra was booked at Van Nuys Jail with a $2,000,000 bail.
