Man Fatally Shot on Sidewalk NR17200aj

Los Angeles: The Los
Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division Homicide detectives
are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a murder suspect
of Fredis Mejia.

On June 10, 2017, around 8:40 p.m., Mejia was standing on the
sidewalk in the 400 block of North Coronado Street when unknown
suspect(s) walked up and shot him multiple times. The suspect(s)
then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene
where Mejia was pronounced dead.

Fredis Mejia is described as a 24-year-old male Hispanic. He worked
in the Fashion District as a salesman and did not have any gang
affiliation.
