"Man in Car is Shot and Subsequently Dies"
Los Angeles – On Monday, May 1, 2000 at approximately 11:30 PM, a 67 year-old male, Frank Arnold, was sitting in his vehicle, a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette. He was parked on the street in the 100 block of West 60th Street. During this time, residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots and when they went outside to investigate, found victim Arnold inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right side. Arnold was transported to a local hospital where he failed to respond to medical treatment and died at approximately 2:30 AM.
Three male Blacks were seen running from the scene, however, no further description is available and presently the motive is unknown.
