Man Found Shot Near Freeway Overpass NR22107ne

Foothill Area: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of a 36-year-old man.

On April 17, 2022, around 6:47 p.m., a man was shot in the area of Dronfield Avenue and Paxton Street by an unknown suspect(s) while standing on the sidewalk near the freeway overpass.

The victim was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim reportedly lived in a nearby homeless encampment adjacent to the 118 Freeway overpass. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Currently there is no suspect information available for release.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
