Man Gun Down; Detectives Seek Clues

Los Angeles- On Sunday, October 5, 2003, at about 11:59 p.m., Devonshire Area patrol officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon/shots fired call located in the 15000 block of Parthenia Street, Los Angeles. Patrol officers discovered a male Black victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital were he died from his injuries. The victim has not been identified pending the notification to his family.
Devonshire Area detectives assumed investigative responsibility for this case.
Preliminary witness information had not indicated a motive for the murder. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
