Man Killed in Motorcycle Collision

Los Angeles: A 21-year-old man was killed on Sunday after his motorcycle collided with a car turning left in front of him.

On June 10, 2007, at about 11:50 AM, a motorcycle traveling northbound on Wilbur Avenue just north of Sherman Way, struck a blue Honda Civic that was turning left into a parking lot at the northwest corner of the intersection.

The motorcyclists was ejected and hit a parked car. The rider was wearing an approved Department of Transportation helmet, however the helmet strap was not properly secured and the helmet was knocked off the rider’s head due to the force of the collision. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The name of the motorcycle rider is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The male driver of the Honda was a resident of Reseda, California.
