Man Killed Near a Local Pool hall NR10498cj

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Van Nuys Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help with providing any information involving a man who was shot and killed outside of a local pool hall.

On October 22, 2010, around 11:55 p.m. LAPD Van Nuys Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 13300 block of Victory Boulevard.  When the officers arrived they discovered a man lying on the ground outside of a pool hall suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Los Angeles City rescue personnel responded and transported the man to a local hospital where he later died.  The man was identified as Rafael Marcos.
   
LAPD Van Nuys Homicide detectives’ investigation revealed that Rafael Marcos was inside the pool hall  with a family member.  Just after midnight Marcos walked out of the pool hall.   The relative heard several gun shots coming from outside the pool hall and walked outside to find Marcos on the ground.
