Man Murdered Inside of His Vehicle NR12139wr

Los Angeles:   Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang/ Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect(s) who killed 32-year old Justin Elliot Ford.

On March 22, 2012, at 1:15 p.m., Ford was seated in his parked vehicle in the 4500 block of South Kansas Avenue, when an unknown suspect(s) walked up and shot into the car.  After the shooting, the suspect described only as a male Black, in his late teens to twenties, fled on foot south on Kansas Avenue.  Ford was struck multiple times by the gunfire.  Ford exited his vehicle and ran to the back porch of a nearby house. The residents of the house contacted emergency personnel to respond to the scene.

The motive appears to be gang related.  The suspect(s) and weapon are outstanding.
