Man Murdered Under Local Freeway Overpass NR18302rh

Devonshire: The Los Angeles Police Department and Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a 24-year-old male.

On November 24, 2018, around 6:50 a.m., Devonshire patrol officers responded to a radio call of a “Shooting Just Occurred” in the area of Plummer Street under the 405-Freeway overpass. When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old male Hispanic suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was found inside his tent.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set male Hispanic, who exited a silver or gray sedan, opened the tent and shot the victim several times. The suspect re-entered the vehicle and fled west on Plummer Street.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

The motive of the shooting is not known and under investigation. The victim’s name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
