Man Shot and Killed in Encino NR22031dm

Encino: On February 3, 2022, around 7:15 p.m., West Valley Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 16800 block of Encino Hills Drive. Officers were directed to a man down inside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Ronald Kolodkin, a 60-year-old resident of Encino, was detained and later arrested for Manslaughter (Booking #6319350). Detectives are investigating the possibility that Kolodkin accidentally shot the victim while showing his handgun.
