Man Shot Dead While Seated In a Vehicle

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year old male Hispanic.
On November 24, 2002 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the victim was seated in a vehicle located in the 1200 block of 108th Street, when two male Hispanic suspects, 19-21 years of age, drove by the victim and shot him multiple times. Apparently, the victim and suspects are acquaintances. While at a prior celebration, the victim and suspect became engaged in a dispute. This shooting is not believed to be gang-related.
 
The victim was transported to Martin Luther King-Drew Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on November 25, 2002.
 
Additional information regarding the suspects is being withheld at this time pending further investigation. The victim’s name is also being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
