Los Angeles: Early this morning, a man who was shot Sunday in South Los Angeles died as a result of his injuries.
On Sunday, December 16, 2007, at 5:40 a.m., police were called to a shooting at Adams Boulevard and Halldale Avenue. Officers discovered 33 year old, Gary Freeman slumped in the driver’s seat of his vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach.
Investigators interviewed Freeman at scene and told police that the suspect vehicle, described as dark in color, drove up along side of his vehicle and the suspect began firing a handgun at him.
Police described suspects only as a male Blacks.
Freeman was transported to a local hospital where he was initially listed in stable, but critical condition.
The motive for the shooting is unclear and police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the suspects responsible for this crime.
