Man Shot to Death in Van Nuys NR23012dm

Van Nuys: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for killing a 35-year-old man.

On January 29, 2023, around 4:45 a.m., West Valley patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 17000 block of Roscoe Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a victim in the parking lot of a business, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.  His name is being withheld pending notification to family members.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was approached by a male suspect in a red and black hooded jacket. The suspect produced a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the victim as he sat inside his vehicle. The suspect fled the scene to a vehicle, which was parked nearby.
